The social media landscape is changing all the time.
When I started, I faced four opponents…
Not in a cage…
But…
In my mind.
Limited perspective,
Lack of information,
Emotional biases,
Fixed thinking patterns,
Mental barriers of problem-solving.
The problem was…
‘I will do this alone.’
‘I can’t post this; what would others think?’
‘I have no voice.’
‘Research is for the big players; I'm just getting started.’
WRONG.
In all four.
But hey, let's back up…
I remember sitting in front of the computer…
Full-on anxiety when I posted.
Copied some platitude from a quote page.
Not engaging with anyone…
No research done.
You can’t win this game without tolerance for anxiety.
You can’t find your voice if you copy others.
You can’t do this alone.
You have to research.
I was lost and stuck in my own mind…
The barriers stopping my creativity.
But…
It always comes down to one thing.
FEAR.
Fear of failure.
Fear of abandonment.
Fear of loss.
I love this analogy my sober friend told me a long time ago.
Fear means…
FUCK EVERYTHING AND RUN.
I tackled the fears…
Wrote in my own way, from my own life…
I did my research.
And made friends.
Guess what?
Everything changed…
By tackling the FEARS…
I’m stepping closer to my journey into digital immortality.
Yeah…
