The Fighter and the Fireman...
Is competition good or bad?
My podcast co-host and I had a talk.
He was worried about the schedule and potential competition coming on the scene.
We have a big advantage in the Finnish podcast space…
Nobody else is talking about the topics we are covering.
'What if somebody else enters our market and niche?'
Competition is not a problem…
Two former drug addicts—One is a fireman with faith, the other an ex-MMA fighter with a degree in healthcare.
You can’t compete with that.
Why?
There is nobody else with the specific qualities we have.
By tapping into this, we separate ourselves…
Talking about addiction, self-improvement, sports, crimes…
We attract people with the same interests.
The other reason is that competition in any form is good.
It drives you to level up, tap into YOUR passion.
I welcome the competition.
The fighter in me craves it.
If you're not tapping into your special qualities, you're missing out.
I can’t compete with the story others have.
By aligning it with your personal brand, you will fight in a league of your own.
So yeah, the podcast is doing well, and we have our biggest guest coming up next week.(Literally)
5x strongest man in Finland. Big in real life and has a big following in our homeland.
I believe in leveraging the video format and showing your face to the world.
Writing platforms like 𝕏/LinkedIn are great, but standing out with your face and voice on video makes you a stronger brand.
And not many people have the guts to do it.
Sometimes your guts are what make the difference.
Have a nice Sunday, my fellows.
Kai the fighter ends it here.
P.S.
I’m a big podcast fanboy and listen to a wide number of people…
I found an interesting one: Shit You Don’t Learn in School.
A rabbit hole of knowledge and new ideas…
Episode 74 was a great one for the ones looking for new ideas and opportunities.
P.P.S
Hit me up if you have any thoughts on competition or standing out…
