Quitting Is A Disease.
The cure is?
When people get stuck…
They quit.
8 months of writing in 𝕏 most of the people I started with…
QUIT.
I know you’re thinking: ‘Not me’
Listen here…
It crossed your mind.
It crossed my mind.
I’m not going to sugarcoat it. 99% will quit in a long enough timeframe.
Recovery from addiction taught me a valuable lesson.
Everybody relapsed. Even my best friends.
Seeing the person you shared your personal life, pains, deep fears…
Giving everything away for drugs…
Opens your eyes.
I know a guy. He was clean for 12 years, wife, children, construction company, friends…
He forgot to treat his addiction with recovery.
He forgot priorities.
He forgot the inside job.
Guess what happened?
He is in the streets with nothing left, the only thing in his mind is the next dose.
Now, you might be wondering why I'm sharing this with you.
How does this tie in with a creator's life?
Accountability, consistency, grit, pushing through negative feelings, persistence.
The patterns of quitting—be it in creativity, business, or personal goals—are universal.
It’s all fun when everything is working but then you wake up one morning and you’re not feeling it.
It’s the seed of disappointment.
Self doubt. ‘Can I do this?’
How can you counter this?
Reality is…
You have to do this every day no matter what.
Do you understand?
Writing every day is not fun, and learning every day is not fun.
Reality is not fun.
The days when I suffered and did not sleep will be in front of you.
Get ready.
Forget the easy money, fast results.
We all have our moments when virality distracts us.
The landscape is hard at the moment.
Everybody is whining, complaining, and attacking other creators.
Don’t do it.
99% of the herd moves like this.
One of the best steps you can do is…
Observe
Stay away from drama
Move in silence
Stay calm
Keep writing, Keep posting, Keep evolving.
Yes my friend.
The rant is over.
